Central America punches well beyond its size in that there is so much packed into this isthmus that connects North with South America. A biodiversity hotspot that is approximately twice the size of the UK, the landscape of Central America is strikingly beautiful and varied from smoldering volcanoes to tropical rainforest, from stunning lakes, such as Atilan, to exquisite inlets and islands.
There is far more to Mexico than Riviera Maya and the beaches. Aztec, Mayan and Oltec sights vie for attention, whilst the jungles in the south and the whale watching in Baja California are amongst the best in the world. So to the Monarch Butterflies in February/March or hiking the Copper Canyon, a region which is seven times the size of the Grand Canyon.
