CAUTION
A passport issued under the Passports Act, 1967. It is an offence to knowingly furnish false information OR suppress material information which attracts penal and other action under relevant sections of the said act. Passport is a valuable document. All holders are required to take due care that it does not get damaged, mutilated or lost. Passports should not be sent out to any country by post.
Loss of passport should be immediately reported to the nearest police station and to the nearest passport office/ Indian mission. Passport holder shall be responsible for misuse of the passport, due to the non-intimation of loss to the concerned passport office/ Indian mission. Passport is a Govt. property and should be surrendered when demanded in writing, by any passport issuing authority.

1.HOW TO APPLY
How to Apply for a Passport:
- One can apply for Passport through Online Registration, (after doing online registration, get print outs of the application form) Apart from this applicant can submit directly in the respective passport office/ DPCs/Speed post centers or through an authorized Agent along with authority letter.
2. PHOTOGRAPHS
- Recent photographs size 3.5 cm x 3.5 cm.(Four) in colour showing frontal view of full face are required..The colour photographs should have a light background (preferably white) and should show the full face of the applicant frontally. For Jumbo booklets, two additional photographs are required. Black and white photograph, photograph with coloured or dark glassess, Dark Background or in uniform, Polaroid prints or computer prints will not be accepted
3.MODE OF PAYMENT
Fees Structure
The following all-inclusive fee is to be paid along with the application form, either by Bank Draft in favour of the Passport Officer concerned or in cash. In case of DD, full name of applicant and application number to be written on the reverse of the draft. The Bank Code of Issuing Bank, the Demand Draft Number and date of issue of the Demand Draft should be mentioned.Details of payment of fee may be mentioned in the relevant boxes in the application form.
1. Fresh Passport (36 pages) of 10 years validity including minors between 15 to 18 years of age, who wish to get a 10 years full validity passport) Rs. 1,000/-
2. Fresh Passport (60 pages) of 10 years validity Rs. 1,500/-

Note :-
(i) . If a certificate is other than Hindi/English language, translated English version of the same duly attested by a Gazetted Officer or a Notary should be submitted.
(ii). All certificates/degree/diplomas issued in Andhra Pradesh should first be got attested from the “General Administration Department (GAD)” of the University, before submission to the Ministry for attestation.
(iii).All certificates/degrees/diplomas issued by Karnataka University, Dharwad should be got reconfirmed about its genuineness from the Registrar of the University, before submission to the Ministry for attestation.
(iv).In case of Doctors/Nurses/Pharmacists, it is necessary to submit photocopy of the registration certificates, original of which should be shown for verification of the photocopy.
2. BUSINESS DOCUMENTS
All business documents like Power of Attorney, Export Import Invoices etc. to be first legalized by respective Chambers of Commerce (Whichever the company is associated member of).
3. BIRTH / MARRIAGE CERTIFICATES
All the certificates, first to be attested by the respective Home Department of the State.
